Did you know that in purchasing a Wildwood Custom Furnishings sign you are supporting the environment in two ways? For one, all our signs are made on wood that is primarily cottonwood/aspen. The aspen and cottonwood we use for or signs and furniture is fallen, dead wood that is found laying in forests; we do not cut down live cottonwood and aspen trees! Secondly, sign making companies usually use lumber from live trees, they don't generally use scraps that would otherwise be burned or thrown in landfills. We do use these leftover "scrap" pieces as they are not only perfect sign material but pretty as well!
Because of the uniqueness of the wood, no two signs are alike! All our signs are handpainted, and some even still have log edging left on them.
