"Bringing the Outdoors In"

"In the foothills of the rocky mountains, Eastern Washington was the perfect setting for my growing up years. I loved the tall and mighty pine, fir and cedar tree filled mountains with aspen and cottonwood trees sprinkled in here and there. The Pacific Northwest had it all, four seasons, evergreens to appeal to the eye year round, and just the right amount of rain and shine! I remember the first aspen groove I found when I was six. It was deep in the mountains next to where my parents were cutting firewood. Always inclined to my imaginations, I truly thought I had found an enchanted place! I just knew that if I played in the groove long enough little angels would eventually come out of their hiding places to play with me! Throughout my child hood and youth the woods were my haven, where I would go when I needed to be grounded again. It truly is a miracle I was never eaten by a cougar or lost for good as there were times I did get lost for hours at a time!

As a homemaker now living in the Midwest amongst the fields of corn and beans, and with two children and a degree in alternative herbal medicine  I rarely get outdoors like I used to. I garden and harvest herbs but it is different here then it was in those calming, mountainous forests back home. Most of my work from canning food to rearing children, teaching health classes and of course working as operations manager for WCF keeps me inside. When my husband first started making this furniture, I liked it but I didn’t think I wanted it for every room of my house. It is addictive though, and before long I completely fell for it! The more you look at one of these pieces the more new intricate and beautiful things you notice about it, each piece truly is like art! By the time we developed the Rocky Top ^PMP Tables I had found that these pieces were a way to reconnect with nature, my haven, where I could ground and my troubles would melt away. I have found that through Wildwood Custom Furnishings I have been able to bring my beloved outdoors in and surround myself with peaceful outdoor themes
to my hearts content!

Our home would probably be classified as more of a romantic, country cottage style; our bedroom is a tropical theme filled with relics from a trip to Hawaii, our living room has taken on a roses and wildflower theme, kitchen is Tuscany country sides, and office/entry is the nature room. Our children’s room is the only room that is cowboy/western, or what most people think of going with log furniture. I think that our pieces are the perfect solution for any outdoor lovers home or office; since we nature lovers cannot always be outside where we would like
we can bring outside in!"
